The
Saints & Tinners 300Km Audax, organised by Audax Kernow.
The day began at Bodmin Scout Hall, 0600 Sunday 6th June. Only a handful at the start |

The
first section was up and down some delightful country lanes following
The Saints Way.
I've toured Cornwall extensively but there were many roads I'd never been on. |

I
was riding along chatting to James Tinsley, we rounded a couple of corners,
and then the Pixies took him. He was gone and I never saw him again!

After
a few uncertainties, and a few stops to check the map, almost
everyone seemed to get lost somewhere between Bodmin and St.Agnes, the first checkpoint. |
On
arrival there it was very close
to the closing time for the control, a bit early in the ride for that sort of thing! |
Several
stopped at the shops in St. Agnes to stock up for the next haul, which
was along the North Cornwall coast to St. Ives Bay.
